PART COVID-19 Update - Rear Door Entry and Free Fares

UPDATE:    Beginning Thursday, April 2, 2020, PART will institute a Rear Door Entry Policy. Those with disabilities and/or requiring assistance are permitted to utilize the front door.

In addition, PART will not collect fares on any fixed route buses. Free fares begin on April 2nd and continue through May 1, 2020.

In response to the Governor’s Stay at Home declaration, PART requests that riders eliminate all non-essential bus travel until further notice. Thank you for your cooperation.

In response to Governor Wolf’s orders regarding COVID-19, effective Friday, March 13, 2020, Pottstown Area Rapid Transit will no longer be issuing senior or half-fare or selling multi-ride and roundtrip bus passes in order to minimize exposure.  Passengers will be able to ride for reduced or half-fare, as eligible, by showing photo identification and a Medicare card to the bus driver. At this time, all PART fixed route and paratransit services are on normal schedule. As a reminder, if you are feeling unwell, please do not utilize public transportation.

This policy is in effect until further notice. For further information, visit or call 610-970-6512.
