Pottstown Regional Public Library
The library was founded in 1921 by the Century Club of Pottstown. The library is a 501(c )(3) non-profit receiving public support from Pottstown, Lower Pottsgrove Township, Upper Pottsgrove Township, and West Pottsgrove Township. Private support is received from patrons, civic groups, corporations, and foundations.
The Pottstown Regional Public Library is a member of the Montgomery County Library & Information Network Consortium (MCLINC), a group of libraries united to share resources and automation to best serve the needs of the community.
Services Offered
The Pottstown Regional Public Library is a passport application facility registered with the U.S. Department of State. Appointments are required for passport applications. While books are and will remain our core service, we are more than just books:
- We offer public computers and WiFi access.
- We have a variety of digital services, including e-books, digital magazines, digital newspapers (United States), free online homework help, Ancestry.com (in library only), language learning resources, online directories of businesses and individuals (Reference USA), animated online children's books (Tumblebooks) and more!
- We have programs for children, teens, and adults including story time, summer reading programs, Lego Club, teen advisory group, after school programs, computer classes, book discussion groups, Tai Chi classes, and more!
- Our reference desk is available daily to assist patrons, including resume help and job searching.
Additional Information
The Pottstown Regional Public Library is located at 500 East High Street, at the intersection of High Street and Washington Street, in downtown Pottstown. Parking is available on High Street and behind the library building. The library is accessible by public transit - SEPTA route 93, PART High Street westbound and eastbound, and PART Philadelphia Premium Outlets.
