Mission Statement

Pottstown Parks and Recreation strives to create, support, and promote diverse recreation opportunities in the Borough, to enhance existing park facilities and promote tourism with new attractions and amenities for residents and visitors of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. We seek to provide park improvements and recreation programming that promotes healthy lifestyles, benefits the community, connects residents and helps build a better Pottstown.

NOTICE: The Bark Park and the Memorial Park playground sustained major damage during the August 4, 2020 flooding event and are closed as a result. Please do not enter either area as it is unsafe. Restoration efforts are underway as new designs are sought to decrease the likelihood and magnitude of future damage.

Parks and Recreation provides educational and recreational programming for all ages at an affordable cost. In addition, we maintain and manage the 13 parks in the borough. Park facilities include the Fountain of Youth Spray Park, Trilogy BMX, a skateboard park, a miniature golf course, ball fields, picnic pavilions, tennis courts, Riverfront walking trail, the Bark Park, and age appropriate playground equipment.The Borough Parks are available for rental for private events. The Pottstown Area Regional Recreation Committee is an intergovernmental cooperative agency formed by the majority of the municipalities making up the Greater Pottstown Metropolitan Region. Partners include Pottstown Borough, Upper Pottsgrove, Lower Pottsgrove, West Pottsgrove, Douglass, East Coventry, North Coventry, Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation and the Schuylkill River Greenway.
