Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority

The Pottstown Downtown Improvement District Authority (PDIDA) has developed a strategic plan to aid in the revitalization of the Borough's downtown business district. The PDIDA district is a special assessment district, that includes High Street from York Street to Evans Street, with adjacent blocks on Hanover, Penn, Charlotte, and Frankin Streets. The mission of PDIDA is to create a safe, welcoming, and sustainable environment in the downtown for businesses and organizations to grow.

PDIDA provides services that supplement those of the Borough and the property owners within the district. Primary responsibilities include keeping the downtown clean, secure, and inviting. PDIDA also creates and promotes special events designed to attract visitors and new businesses and organizations to the downtown.
