The Inspections and Permits Department has the duty to process all permit and license applications. Inspections of reported code violations and of on-going work for projects that require and/or other related applications.
Many residents are not aware that the Fire Marshal, upon completion, must inspect certain work. You will need to fill out the proper permit application.
Also included are Property Transfer Inspections, Rental Inspections (both Commercial & Residential Units) and Residential Rental Registrations.
The Borough also has a program to help attract homebuyers to the Core District
and a Housing Conversion Program. |

Building Code for
all commercial properties. Building permits are required
for alterations as well as new construction. |

There are 3 basic inspections: foundation
or footing, framing and final (Inspections are noted
on permit cards.) |
