The Pottstown Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and activities. The parks system includes the River Front Park where you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the Schuylkill River or Memorial Park with its many athletic fields. Memorial Park also has a memorial to fallen war heroes, a play area for kids, and picnic areas. The Parks Department also maintains a number of neighborhood parks that provide residents activities close to their home.

The Community Center provides year round programs for the residents of Pottstown. Contact the Parks and Recreations Department for more information on the activities at the Center.

Annual Youth Fishing Derby

PPOA Annual Youth Fishing Derby
Date: Saturday, May 3
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Place: Manatawny Creek at Memorial Park
Ages: under 12 years old
Cost: FREE

1000 trout will be stocked 8:00 a.m. in a sectioned area of Manatawny Creek. Refreshments will be served for the children.
